Alright!! B&G Superbowl and now this! Great news all day!! I can imagine Blu Ray uploads would kill many peoples ratio!
Many people get their ratio killed regardless if its Blu-ray or DVD. Blu-ray files are large 15-50 GB but there's DVD batches that are larger than that. Many anime series on DVD can be 30-100+ GB.
Clearly large sizes of DVD batches & Blu-ray are for users with fast connections & good ratios. If you you don't have that then don't download. What I love most about ADC is the highest quality of Asian media possible, no crappy DVD rips. And Blu-ray is the next step in their high quality.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff that makes ADC possible. Your effort is very much appreciated.

Any data you have seeded/leeched while the server has been down have not been counted. Stats will only be counted again once the tracker is online, and then only the data that have been seeded/leeched from that point onwards will count.

What was the date of the last backup of stats? I just joined about 10 days ago or so and want to make sure I have my $10.00/10GB starting rate snd I had surpassed it but have two DVD5 downloads, once which finish with almost zero share and another that had a 1.6 share and was about 1/2 done.

The most recent backup of user stats is from less than a day before the server went down. So the loss of user stats should be limited to only the last few hours the site was online.
As long as no problems appear with that backup it will be the one that is used. (If something is found to be wrong with it we'll have to go with an older backup.)

Did you take a look at the media players from western digital and asus. You plug them with network cable and they play almost all format. they play HD mkv wonderfully. And they even play subtitles from sub (and other) files. They have them at Newegg.com. But don't buy the wireless one, they just don't work...
I just bought the one from Asus. Can't wait to see the site up!
PS3 & Xbox 360 can stream any video including HD video with the PS3 Java Media Server.
I use that method sometimes, but I prefer the higher quality Blu-ray to AVCHD over Blu-ray rips. Rips can have worse quality sometimes and many groups encode the audio really low with AAC. However some groups like THORA do a great job.

So if uploads don't count towards your ratio, I guess downloads don't do that either? Apparently I'm scoring 300kb/s on a DVD box from some American.
Sorry, I mixed up the name of the client, the client is called "Vuze". Suffice it to download it, install, register with the system and send out invitations to their friends, who also registered in the "Vuze", ration is not taken into account, the exchange of information occurs only with those on your list. Thus, we can change the information. And as soon as the ADC to recover, we are all on their own will consistently recover information and add new.
I recently reinstalled OC, why not set yet "Vuze". Who wants to change, send me your information e-mail. Can communicate messages via ICQ.

I just read that ADC only have partial backup. I guess thats ok. I will probably have to work that ratio back up again. Which is very hard ever since porn was ban. I've been noticing there are less and less leechers everyday. Also maybe allow Blu-Ray to draw some of the leechers back.

The .torrent files are not stored in the database. Things that are part of the database include: user ratios, torrent descriptions, forum posts, user comments, bookmarks, and most everything else on the site.

User ratios are safe and have not been lost. Whatever your ratio was the day the server went down is what your ratio will be when the site opens up again.
And we'll allow Blu-ray uploads in the near future. But first we need to get things back in order.

I got the tracker back online. It should be working 100%.
Next up is the forums (easy), then torrent browsing (easy), then a command line app to make batch uploading torrents painless.
Oh, and a more recent copy of the site files was found from July 2009, so there will be less deactivated .torrents to deal with.

No, user stats have not been deleted or lost. As has already been mentioned several times on here, the backup of user stats is from less than a day before the server went down.
In essence, this means that only a few hours of stats have not been counted. So your account stats will be exactly what they were when the backup was made (i.e. a few hours before the server went down).

You should be able to connect to the tracker on all torrents through your BT client. Only the .torrent files themselves are missing on the server.
That means people who don't already have the .torrent file will not be able to download the torrent - at least not until the .torrent file for it has been uploaded to the server and plugged back into the system. Anybody who already has the torrent loaded in their client will be able to start it at any time they please, and the stats for the torrent will be tracked properly.
Hi! Sorry for posting this question under this section but I'm curious about something. I'm from Europe and I'm a big fan of Asian movies, however no matter where I turn I can find only A-Movies without subtitles for region2 (PAL). I became tired of translating each movie myself. So, I was wondering, do you, like many other sites have only ntsc movies with eng subs only or there are also pal multi-subs movies. I'd like to know before making an account. PS. I know it's probably a stupid question, but hey!
NTSC is certainly the more popular video format due to its use in both North America and much of Asia, but there are quite a few PAL DVDs on AsianDVDClub. Most DVDs that are uploaded have English subtitles - including the PAL DVDs - though not all of them are multisub. UK DVDs often (but not always) only have English subtitles, while those from the continent usually have subtitles in multiple languages.

This is kaarma33 from ADC.
It looks like my account/ip address is banned even though my share ratio is 100 percent. I keep getting "error 403 unauthorized ip address" whenever I go to the ADC website or on utorrent. ADC IRC channel does not work for me in order to contact an admin. I did not receive any warning email or pm from ADC.
Could you reinstate my account, please?

Wow, that really makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I was doing everything I could to get my ratio up(just joined two days ago), and had just gotten it above 0.5.
the same thing here, i got the 403 error, at first i thought i got banned (even though i'm power user) but i asked to a friend of mine to enter on the website and he got the same message, and he's not a adc user... so... what happened? :(

The weird thing is that even though Utorrent says it has a 403 error, the torrents are still semi working.
